** PLEASE NOTE - Karen is not currently taking ICBC patients **
Karen became a registered massage therapist in 2008, after completing a 3000-hour program in British Columbia. In 2011, she opened Bodylogic Therapeutic Massage in Revelstoke BC, where she lived and worked until her recent transplant to the West Coast. Her practice has evolved along with her learning and deepened understanding of the intricacies of the human body, health, and holistic wellness.
Karen has taken courses in Myosfascial Mobilization, pain science, joint mobilization, muscle energy technique, and most recently, a two year program in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle and profound technique that allows a deep listening to your own body’s intelligence for healing. She undertook a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015, and meditation, postural exercises, and somatic awareness to inform her own and client self-care.
Karen has a wide array of techniques to draw upon to come up with a treatment plan that will support your injury prevention and rehabilitation, chronic pain management, health, and overall wellness. She has an interest in working with post-concussion recovery, and chronic pain management, as they are part of her own health journey. When she isn’t working, Karen finds balance by being out in nature, hiking, mountain biking, walking, and being on or near the water.
