I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and member of the B.C.A.C.C. I offer both in-person and online (Zoom) counselling sessions.
I know that life can feel overwhelming at times, and I believe that all of us can benefit from outside help at some point in our lives. However, it can take courage to reach out for that help. I invite you to do so – every journey begins with one step.
My goal in our counselling journey is to create a safe space for you that is compassionate and non-judgemental. I believe that the best counselling is based upon a collaborative approach in which we can together identify and prioritize your concerns.
I am trained in Family Systems and in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, which is a form of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. This is the most common form of “talk therapy“. It is an evidence-based approach used for among other issues – anxiety and ADHD, with which I have lived experience. I bring to the table years of counselling experience, including working at the Vancouver Island Counselling Centre for Immigrants and Refugees (VICCIR). My own style of counselling is culturally sensitive and respectful of different world views. I work with individuals, teenagers and couples.
I can help with:
ADHD
Relationships
Depression
Anxiety
Work/Life Balance
Loss/Greif
Self-Esteem
Addictions
Stress
I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your counselling goals.
